FAA Filters pleated air filters use folds in the polyester, paper, or cotton media to increase surface area, making them extremely effective at trapping contaminants in air. Up to 99.97% of airborne particles, including particles as small as 0.3 microns, are trapped with a pleated air filter. FAA Filters pleated air filters have a MERV rating of 5 or greater, which refers to the efficiency rating of air filters. The higher the MERV rating, the more particles are filtered, and the cleaner the air is on the other side.
